Default Some problems with B16a

I have an intermitent ticking coming from my engine.

Is there a way of knowing if it could be the LMA's and if so are they difficult to
replace?

I also have another problem, when i drive while the engine is warming up to running temp. there are times when it feels like the engine is starving for gas, like its bogging. but then there are times when it doesn't do it at all. and then somtimes its bogs when the engine is at running temp.

i don't know,
Any suggestions would help, thanks

Have you adjusted your valves yet? I would start with that but being a 1st gen B16, the LMA are probably shot. Not sure on the difficulty because I haven't done mine yet (prob next summer) but I hear they are pretty expensive. The other problem sounds like you could have your O2 sensors hooked up backwards. Does it feel like it hesitates at partial throttle?

Ya it does feel like it hesitates at partial throttle, and its worse when the engine is warming up.
But its intermitent, sometimes the engine is really smooth and othertimes its bad

Did you put in the engine? If you used an si wiring harness, the O2 sensor plug that is on it will only plug into the wrong O2 sensor plug on the new engine. This mistake is made alot. You just need to switch the wires if this is the case.

My b16 has ticking too. I'm replacing my LMAs next week with ITRs.

My motor will randomly hesitate as well. Usually at partial throttle. I'll give it gas and the car will sputter and jerk. I let off the gas and everything is fine again.

My ECU is chipped running BRE, through which I've disabled the second O2 sensor. Could this be my problem?
