How to replace rear hatch dampers aka struts

Before I had to replace mine I tried to find pics and info and nothing really helpful came up. I decided to just go for it and it's all common sense. This is removal for the 94-01 Integra

Undo this nut using a wrench as illustrated above. This is the section attaced to the hatch.

On the section attached to the car use a flat head screwdriver and pop the plastic cap off to expose the the C clip. You can see the plastic cap off below the damper. Use your flat head to spin the c clip clock wise so that the open part of the C faces up. It should slide right off then you can slide the hatch damper off the pin. Then do the reverse to put your new dampers on. Be sure to have a friend handy or a 2x4 etc to hold the hatch open.
