well if it really is out of a type-s, it will be a 5speed ecu. Other than that, I couldn't tell ya how to tell if it's a genuine type-s just by looking at the serial code.

there arent auto type s preludes???

why I ask is cause i'm doing a h22 swap inmy 98 accord.. n I bought a 99 prelude ecu... not even thinking about an immoblizer... n it's pretty much a useless ecu... n I sent off my engine harnesses to rywire... n they're taking awhile building my harnessess... n I dont really wanna send back my jumper harness... cause Im out of a car going on 3 weeks now n I dont want them taking a month to build me another jumper harness... I guess I can just wait for the guy to message me back...

I just hope it's jdm so it doesnt have the immobilizer in it... unless you guys have ne ideas...

but thanx man

From what I've seen and heard from other members, most who have an H22 and modify it use a P28 or P72 ECU from an Integra and then tune it using some software, I don't know what your plans on modifying it are if there are any but here is a link to a thread about the ECU options for an H22, https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=783372 . Hope this helps.

Alright the guy messaged me back n told me it's out of 97 prelude type s and it's jdm! hell yeah it's mine!

though I've been looking around and I've found out that this ecu comes in prelude SH?

I was curious if a prelude SH and type S are the same?? If not could one of you tell me what a prelude SH is?? sorry for the dumb question but Im not up on prelude models...

prelude SH is almost the same thing as the 1997-2001 prelude base model. One of the major differences being the ATTS unit (Active Torque Transfer System) helps when cornering and auto X'ing

The TypeS and SH ecus are not interchangeable as far as I know. My car is swapped, but I have an SH ecu, and the SH ecu will throw a code, so I have to use the typeS ecu (thereby not allowing me to pass emissions )
