im having issues getiing my steering rack out of my old crossmember. i need my good rack out to put it in my new crossmember. I've obviously unbolted the 4 bolts securing it to the member but i cant get the rod out through the hole in the member.... help please

 

might be easier to just take out the whole rack assembly with the inner and outer tie rods connected to it.

I had to disconnect the inner tie rods to pull it out at the right angle, I don't know if there is an easier way though
