well i already did..i used wd40, sand paper and block..should i use somthing finer to clean it up with? it turned out smooth

 

id have the bolck re surfaced by a machine shop.

 

its ok to use that.. problem is the small metal particles u prob dont see fall down in the oil chambers and get to the bearings so make sure u clean it out really really good with brake clean and all .. then pour some clean oil down to help out after its clean

 

220 grit is a bit rough. 400 grit would have been a better choice.

 

sanded it on a engine stand with the motor upside down so debris would not fall down..i might touch it up with 400 grit.. thanks for the info
