Default best system for the money

i have $500 dollars max to spend on a system for my teg, i want either 2 (10) subs in box, or 1 (12) sub in box along with an amp, i'm wondering what the best set up is that i can buy and whats a good place to find it. thanks a lot, i'm new to car audio, so any input would be helpful.

ok, depends if you'd like a bumpin system, would like to upgrade later, looking for a stock replacement, more depth etc.

Your best bet with your money is the following

Jbl bp600.1 - 600w clean into mono 2ohm channel, great, power good quality amp..very cheap your looking $180 OR $250 for some serious power with the bp1200.1 model.

4 Gauge wiring kit - $50/$60 US...get the wiring in and done right the first time

So now you have $200ish - taxes to pick your subs.

you can try and sample a GOOD dual voice coil single 12" sub. The dual voice coil will allow you to make the most of your amp and put the load at 2ohm = more power = louder sound.

I personally am sticking with a single 12".. I have heard both the Infinity Perfect 12.1 which is a serious sound quality sub the still bumps, but not as hard as some perfer. its $150 for the dual voice coil version.

A good recomendation would be the Boston Pro 12.5lf bumps hard with good wattage (like from your 600.1) and it sounds GREAT in a sealed 1.2 litre box, it runs under 200, but very close to...

that setup would toatally tap your budget, and sound amazing.

I've got 2 kicker comp 10's in a sealed box I made myself. I'm running an older MTX amp (Thunder 240) that is pushing maybe 100 watts a sub. Just enough bass for me and it is super tight (just the way I like it). I'm not into the super bass that just shakes everything. Clean and tight. I probably spend 120 on the subs, 20 in materials for the box, 50 for the wiring, and at the most 200 for the amp. Just look around and get something that you will like in the future.
