SpeedVentures - Big Track at Willow Springs July 12th!
Hi all!
Our next event is Friday, July 12th, 2002
Price: $120 (+$20 instructor fee required for novices)
Duration: 1 day / 2.5 hours of track time per group!*
Track: Willow Springs Big Track (near Lancaster, CA)
Registration: Registration is open
Event Info:
Willow Springs is "The fastest track in the West", one of the few tracks where a fast street car can break 140mph. From the thrill of speeding through turn 8 at 120+mph to the "pucker factor" of getting the infamous turn 9 right, WSIR offers high-speed thrills found on few other tracks anywhere.
We will be running the full track in the clockwise direction (the only configuration normally run at Willow). As usual, we will be running three run groups, with five sessions per group, 30 minutes per session. Details on the day's schedule are available here.
Please note that some form of rollover protection is required at this track for convertibles. Cars equipped with stock hoops (S2000's, Z3's, etc.) are fine.
For registration and more information, see our website at http://speedventures.net/7-12-2002_event.asp

Well, we would close registration at 25 cars per group (about 10 cars per mile is what we close at), but we won't hit that for this event. Right now there are 24 cars registered (about 8 per group), and we'll probably end up with about 15 per group in the end.
Just a note for you guys: I'm leaving tomorrow to go to the British GP and the Goodwood Festival, so I won't be at WSIR on the 12th. Aaron is running that event solo, so if you have any questions, please email him at aaron@speedventures.net (I probably won't be crusing the forums while I'm there).
Have fun at WS!

sounds really nice...
dangerous... have them be careful.... 140 mph is quite fast
good luck with registering cars
if my car was worth anything that would be a great track to take it to
