Default Vtec on ef

Okay need some help im going by this Diagram

On my a8, b5, and b19 they all have wires there already. Do i need to take them completely out of the socket and plug in my Vtec wires or Splice the vtec wires in with the wires already there. Im using my SI wiring harness on the engine.

yeah take them out but depin them,, don't just cut them and splice the vtec wires on them incase you ever want to put back in the pm6 ecu(You never know!!)
