Default installing a 95 f22b2 into a 1996 accord

Hi Guys,
I need help, I need to install a 95 F22b2 Japan motor into a 95 accord. The seller said all I need to do is to install the crank sensor. I hope the 95 has the nipples on the block to bolt the sensor on without having to swap the front motor cases. I think this is wishfull thinking. I need to do this tomorrow and was hoping someone go help me out. Has anyone done this and is there anything I should watch out from.
I am short of time, The seller is only giving me two week ends of warranty because I am swaping the sensor. He said everybody messes it up. He waiting for me to take a day off work and drive 50 miles to hit me with the no warranty thing. When I set it up a week before they new what I was doing.

Have a look on hondaautomotiveparts.com and compare the 95 and 96 motors. I forget what gaskets or seals you may have to replace when you do this. Diagram should be around the oil pump area of the motor. Are you swapping your 96 oil pump housing onto the 95 motor?

don't listen to ^^ If you put cams with the same spec as a vtec cam you essentially have vtec all the time . Vtec is for fuel economy so you can have a nice fuel efficeint cam spec down low and change to a more power efficeint cam spec higher up.

This thread is full of fail....

Convert your car to OBD I , as 96 was OBD II and you're fine.

I don't believe you'll need to add anything sensor wise you can probably even use a USDM OBDI ECU.

Though if you're in california isn't that not smog legal (ie swapping older motor into newer car)

I'm not sure why this guy is telling you that you have to install the CKP sensor. Is he selling you the engine without the CKP/distributor? If he is then it's too easy just use the distributor from the F22B2 that is in your car right now. Making sure that it has the CKP sensor in it of course.

JDM 95 F22B2-into a USDM 95 Accord should be a direct swap they are both OBD1. I'm pretty sure that all 95 F22B2 engines have the CKP (Crank angle sensor) in the distributor. 96+ is when they made the swap. The (OBD2) F22B2's have the CKP sensor bolted to the oil pump casing on the front of the block.

lol I guess he's not too sure what he's driving eh!

OP - What year is your car 95 or 96? There is a big difference between the two years when it comes to your topic.

95 OBD1 w/CKP in Distributor
96 OBD2 w/CKP on front of motor
