I found one on CL for $900 It looks in excellent shape, unfortunately it's a 500cc. Not sure if I want to step down from my 600.

Any Suggestions?

 

Having raced the baby "v" back inna day when they were somewhat competitive I can say that they are fun, slow,fun,heavy, fun, underpowered, fun, and they are great 1st bikes.
say....maybe compare to a 250 ninja except with a little more power, and much sharper cornering abilities.
If, however, the choice was mine, I must say I would stick with the 6, if for no other reason because of parts, both factory and aftermarket.
whichever you choose will be a awesome bike and im sure you will enjoy.
