Default 12:1 f22 build slow turning over. thoughts?

i have been building a high comp F2D for my ej1 using 86mm bisimoto spec pistons and his h/f2d adapter kit to mate it to my y8 tranny. i have finally reached the stage where i can attempt to start the car, and i am now very disappointed/frustrated.

when i first hooked up power to it, i turned it over with the spark plugs out, and everything seemed fine. (did this to get the oil circulating before it saw compression) BUT when the plugs were installed, it turns over very slowly and will not fire. i pulled the starter and had it checked at Oreillys, and it passed. now im starting to wonder if my piston-wall clearance if too tight, and thats what is causing my problem. when turned over by hand(w/o plugs) it turns fairly easily so i am PRAYING that its not a clearance issue. if anyone has any suggestions, that would be great! thanks.

Put a multi-meter on the battery.See how much voltage you have before and after you hit the start button.Start with the basics before you worry about the build.Make sure you have a good charge before you try to start it.The ecu needs a minimum voltage to fire the plugs. If your pulling the voltage is to low it will never start.Make sure all the grounds are connected etc...

the main thing i was concerned with was how slow and sluggish it seemed when turning over. the battery i used was from my running daily driver accord. ill try to take a video of it asap.

bigger wire from the battery to the starter, and from the tranny to frame ground.

High compression needs more "grunt" to spin over.

Was is your cranking compression numbers? I'm betting your getting close to 275-300 psi......

so it was the wiring. replaced my engine ground wire with a larger gauge wire and in a new location, and it now turns like it should. still not firning, but i have a few things in mind for this issue. just really relieved that it wasnt my block!

It usually is the simple stuff that gets you.
