HELP WITH BOSE!!
ok heres my problem. the bose system suck period so i replace the head unit sub and amp with some aftermarket stuff and also i replace the speakers but its sounding crappy beacuse the of the bose so now im wondering how do i rewire or wire my speakers so its running directly from the head unit not the bose amp. is it possible if i unplug the bose amp under my seat and rewire it directly from there? or what someone help!
What's so bad about the OEM Bose stuff? Better than any stereo they had ever put in a Civic/Integra before.
Clarity is great. My only knock is that I wish the sub had a gain control. Otherwise the sound is fine.

All you have to do is an "amp bypass". Your stock headunit sends a low level signal to the amp where it is "amplified" and sent to your speakers. I am not sure what harness you used but the amp integration harness works great for me! The amp bypass is rather simple...
1. Disconnect amplifier and all plugs.
2. Using wiring guides for the correct color of the speaker wires, connect the signal "in" harness for the amp to the signal "out" harness of the amp. You will need to just match front left "in" to front left "out"... etc etc, making sure to get the positive and negative right so you are not out of phase! I would suggest solder and shrink wrap for the connections, but if these are not readily available then simply use crimp caps or butt connectors. Most of these things can be picked up at the local auto parts house or Wal Mart.
**Tips** If you cut the harness then make sure you cut it so it can be reconnected if you sell the car. Also if this seems a little beyond your capabilities then I highly suggest professional installation.
If you need the wiring colors at the amp let me know and I will try to get them for you from work. This weekend is kinda hell so I may not be able to do it until Monday but I would be more than happy to help you out! Later and good luck!

The BOSE system in my car is extremely quiet. I think many people would agree with me. The clarity is there but it is too quiet.
I have heard the BOSE system in the new mazda 6's and that sounds good. Mine and ours suck.

Did switch the wires on the sub? I think the purple and yellow wires. That is why it's probably quiet. the 02-04 and from what i've read some 05's had from factory a wiring messup. here check it out:

was your whole system quiet or just the bass. Because over all, my system is quiet.
It's fine if i'm sitting still, but up at highway speed, it seems like thee volume is only going halfway up. I catch myself turning that **** daily, just hoping for a little more when that good song is on. But it's not there...

years ago bose had been notorious for having a high distortion level in their amps. I dunno about now because i'm not into stereo equipment anymore, but i've never liked bose.
