Possibly the rarest Honda in America.....LOOK!
What you see here is a 1983 Honda Prelude XR. I have never seen a car like this anywhere in my life and doubt many others have, either. It has 123,000 original miles and is complete and unmolested. The rust you see is surface only. The car is VERY SOLID and is a perfect canidate for restoration. The pics should speak for themselves.
This car is RHD and everything is written in Japanese. I have tried researching this car everywhere and I have yet to find anything like it anywhere...I am going to start the asking price a little high at $4500 just to see what it will bring. Money talks. $4500 is just a starting point for negotiatins...
I spoke with the original owner today (11/24/2007) (owned it since new until June of '06) and he said as far as he knew there were none of the imported like this ever. He was a captain in the Air Force and stationed in Okinawa and when it was time for him to come home he brought it with him...At the time he was one of the only A/F guys that even owned a Japanese car let alone a Honda.
This car is more rare than a legal Skyline.
The car is located in Findlay, Ohio (about a hour south of Toledo) and is available to be seen anytime....

thats funnyyyyy
thats funnyyyyy
BTW, this is a 1980, not an 83 as I assumed earlier. All of the missing trim is all there just in the trunk.
I have had people calling and asking how much it will be if I have it restored...I don't have the time to restore it, that's why I'm selling it. If I had to restore it to sell it the price would be more like $15,000.

and you'd probably get as much interest as you are now.
