Default ANYBODY EVER SEEN ONE OF THESE????

How rare is this car? I have been looking EVERYWHERE for info on this car but can't seem to find anything.

It's a 1983 Prelude XR and EVERYTHING on the car is written in Japanese...any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this is probably one of not very many (if any) others in the U.S. I saved it from a guy that was going to run it in the local demo derby...

Thanks for looking!

Wow, glad you saved that!

I don't know anything personally, but you might post that in here if you haven't yet: http://preludepower.com/forums...f=205

How much are you asking for it?

That is soo cool! That's definitely a first-gen Prelude, so it's gotta be a 1979-1982 model. I can't buy it, but how much are you asking?

Looks like you can still buy all the oem parts for it:

that is sweet. very rare, I've seen one before, not as nice as that one. if that tells you anything... you should restore it, keep it, & drop an h22 in it. could be done

She's not perfect but definately rare and worth saving, IMHO. I just don't have the time or money to do it myself or I would. Can you believe some redneck ****** wanted to demo derby this car? He even tried out bidding me with the guy I got it from. Some people need put to sleep.

JDM 1st gen w/ JDM mirrors! If that guy would have ran it in the derby, then we would all sense a disturbance in the force. Good save!

What a classic! Those side mirrors look kind of bizarre way out on the fenders like that. How about stuffing an h22 in there?

Also, it's a 1980, not an 83 like I assumed earlier. It was imported in 83 by an ex Air Force Captain that was stationed in Okinawa. As far as he knows it's the only one ever to come to the states...
