Default 92 Accord, are abs and non-abs cv axles interchangable

Hi all, I have a 92 accord that I am changing the cv axles on. I apparently bought abs axles but my car is not equipped with abs. Will they still work? Thanks,

Say what?

They're different part numbers......

Unless the 90-93 is that much different than the 94-97

*edit*

Confirmed it from Majestic, they're different part numbers from the EX (w ABS) vs DX (no ABS)

EX Left Driveshaft 101263
DX Left Driveshaft 101262

It was my understanding that the teeth were not the same

They fit just fine.

Only difference is the ABS ring gear on the cv shaft for the abs sensor. I'm running one on my car now.

Interesting, is it the other way around then?

Non ABS Axles will not fit on an ABS vehicle?

I know in another thread we had talked about it and whatever the OP was doing in that one they did not fit.

*edit*

on me then

Even if the non-ABS axles fit the ABS transmission, which they probably do, you would lose the ABS function due to the lack of a sensor ring which would not be a good thing in my view.

Ya, all the axles will physicaly work and get you down the road, but the ABS gear will be missing so it will throw an light on the dash for ABS cars.
