Default Widest Wheel

Sorry to post this guys but i need to know fast and did a quick search but could not find anything.

My G/F is about to order me wheels for christmas and i was wondering whats the widest wheel people are running. Is 7.5 to wide? Will they rub because the car will be dumped and they will probably be tucking. Basically should I run a 7" or will the 7.5" be ok. It is a 90 dx hatch.

Again sorry for this post i just need to know fast so she can order them.

It depends on the offset of the wheel also, not just the width.

that would be a good offset it its going to be dumped..cause i have 7.5 with a +32 and they are flush with the body...so with the +40 it will push the wheels in.

won't know for sure til you put them on but you should be ok. don't forget the tire size and design also play a factor in rubbing, you can roll your fenders to help with clearance also (if needed), bottm line is you can make them work. I know Civics in japan like to run 8s with high offset and some even wider! (fender rubbing mandatory, lol) there crazy over there with some of the stuff they do, works though
