Error code on D16Z2 engine and oil lickage in the distributor
Hello my friends,
I got a 4th gen Civic Sedan 4WD with D16Z2 engine (maybe close to D16A6)
So the question here is :
I got an oil leackage from the distributor so I think of replacing the o-ring but .
I am wondering what is the type of this TDC/Crank sensor (mechanical or with hall sensors), and wonder is it possible the error code 8 to come becouse of the oil in the distributor ... ?
P.S.
I was reading a lot of things about the D16A6 motor and the info for mine D16Z2 is rare. What I want to say here is that many people are saying that they are pretty the same but when I was changing the timing belt it was different from the D16A6 timing belt , just giving the info for the other D16Z2 owners ... the chasiis coed of the car is EE5 and it is EDM (after a correction from a friend here I understood that it is EDM) .

It is MPFI - In some catalogs they show that the distributor for D16A6 is the same...
I changed the O ring so now the oil is not a problem...
After 2 or 3 days I will see the signal from the TDC with an oscilloscope so I will know is the problem in it...
