What do you guys recommend to go with or stay away from?
I've tried Quakerstate, Castrol, Honda OEM and this weekend I'm going to try Valvoline Maxlife. None of the mentioned ones are synthetic.

What do you use and why?

The next one I was thinking of trying was Mobil1 because it seems to be highly regarded on these forums. I know Amsoil and Royal Purple is considered the best amongst car enthusiasts but the Accord is running so poorly I don't think it deserves anything better than cheap off the shelf oil at this point LOL

What kind of accord do you drive?

I use regualr Valvoline 5w30 with good results.

Valvoline Maxlife 10w30

 

Castrol 10-30 and one lucas
makes my car all smooth and quiet

 

Any cheap oil that meets the API service grade and weight requiremnts for your engine is better than the most expensive dirty neglected oil.

That said, I have been using Castrol GTX 5W-30 in my RSX, changed every 5000 miles. I recently switched to Mobile 1. The jury is still out as to any benefit, however.

 

Any of those brands are fine as long as you stick with the recommended viscosity (5w30 or 10w30)
