Default 96-98 Fogs

Happy Thanksgiving to All.

My next purchase is going to be a set of Fog Lamps. (96-98)
Ive been looking quite at bit at Depo's, Ive heard good. Ive heard bad and ive heard the ugly about them.

Now im looking for an OEM fitment and nothing else.
Also ive got a couple question about lighting/wiring,
I have seen cars where when you put the high beams on your fogs go off.
And vice versa. Low beams on. Fogs on. Id like to have that.

If there has to be a completly different switch then so be it.
So all in All im looking for opinions. (death sentance to ask for on HT, i know)
And fitment. how much did you cut out. and mounting.

Thanks.

Depo fogs in my opinion aren't bad at all, if anything its just that there relays and switches aren't of oem quality. Same with other no name ebay kits, they aren't bad at all its just some of there components suck and you NEED to lay a bead of silicone around the fogs for them to not condense, Fitment isn't bad either. The fogs use a relay that is triggered by a 12v source so if you have the relay triggered by the low beam lead the relay will not trigger when the high beams go on. Its quiet easy to achieve what you want.

Foglights that turn off with the high beams are fog lights that are set up the stock way. I'm not sure how easy that might be with the DEPO POS harnesses.

And DEPO foglights have electrical issues and leak issues. Been there, broke them (screw that held the clip in broke off in the housing), got Esuse instead and have had no problems since.

Yes, you can spray paint them yellow. Vans yellow works. Expect to have to recoat them a few months later though, because they will begin to chip.

Hopefully Vertex Racing is selling them again. Last I heard they were out of stock.
