Default My new 1992 Prelude Si---need suggestions

Well I'm sure some of you saw my post about my 1994 civic with GSR swap being totaled...long time looking for an Integra got me nowhere. Wasn't looking for one at all but ran across a 1992 Prelude Si with H22A swap. Traded wrecked civic and some cash for the prelude. It is on coilovers with some white 17's. Don't know what kind they are. Car is white as well. I love the gsr blades but not sure how those would look on it. Anyone got pics?

Also, I need an intake exhaust, HID's. What types are good and reasonably priced. I like low quiet exhaust. I've heard Apexi WS2 is good for that> I've never heard anything on an H22 so I'm kinda into a new Honda world. I'll get pics up soon. I didn't think I was gonna like it that much, just use it as a daily driver and keep searching for a teg butits growing on me. So i think i might do a little bit to it.Thanks for looking

Your blades won't fit. Only 4-lug ITR wheels fit Preludes.

Don't get cheap-o HIDs, do a real retro-fit.

For exhaust, I have a magnoflow 22" resonator, and a magnaflow 2.25 tail pipe, with custom 2.5 piping. It sounds great, its nice and deep, but no where near anything ricey. Before I had the resonator, it sounded like a motorcycle gang would follow me everywhere it goes, now it is so beautiful, Im so happy with the resonator on there.

As for intake, you can go with a SRA off ebay, but just get a good filter on there, AEM or something else very good. Check my for sale thread, I have a Generic one and a Name brand one for sale.

i have the AEM V2 intake and the HKS exhaust system. And it sounds real good, not ricey.

Look in the 4th gen picture thread right on the 1st or 2nd page of the Prelude forum. Tons of pics in there already posted.

If you camber is that far out of alignment your car is either WAY too low or you have something that is bent. You shouldn't need a camber kit....

Well I mean its not crazy out of line. I just got the thing yesterday. But the inside tread of the tires are bald, but they are pretty new kumhos. Should i just front end aligned and go with it for awhile to see if it gets out of line quick again??? I wouldn't mind not buying a camber kit. He said the front coilovers are low as they can go, and the rears are about halfway. Might raise the front back up a little if it would help

Inner wear on the tire is mainly caused by poor toe alignment more than camber. I have had noticably off camber for years with no uneven wear on my tires because I got the toe & caster aligned (caster doesn't have a lot to do with tire wear but they do it anyway). Your toe is probably off right now and that's why the tires are wearing...

How much wheel-gap do you have? If the tire is tucked or you can't get a couple fingers in there it's too low IMO. I keep my coilovers where I have room for 2-3 fingers in there...it's very scientific

I can get a JDM front bumper for 170 shipped. Is a JDM bumper going to work with factory fenders? Everything will line up right????

It's the same as the USDM bumper...and $170 seems very high.

Check local junkyards first, then eBay, H-T classifieds, local classifieds, etc... Password JDM also has front bumpers, kinda expensive the last time I checked though.

Here are some pics. Finally got some. It needs some work but it was a good deal, and it got rid of my civic.

Needs new front bumper, and I want to get rid of the white wheels. Looking for some factory wheels and cash to help me fix stuff. Passenger window won't roll up. Bumper, front end alignment, front tires...etc.
Not a huge fan of the green valve cover either. Needs some body work.

But its better than not having a car, and I like it.
