Default Not Honda but here is my turbo project

I've learned a lot looking around the forum here . Here is a few pics of my turbo project . Its a Suzuki GSXR 1000 . GT3040R , air/water intercooled , dry sump oil system , Motec M400 . Header and piping are made by me . I just got some Wiggins clamps to redo the charge pipe . Going to be 500hp , mid 7 sec in the end .

Couple more of the header. There is almost no room , makes it fun to fit and get a decent header .

First time I see anyone route their wastegate like that. So...is this turbo considered internally wastegated?

Nice job on the work so far. Must be one fun ride.

Hope you never break the turbo. It would be a bitch to have to replace it!

Awesome work, BTW.

How many inches is the bike ? Looks like some great fab work !

I thought Johnnys Turbo 1k was stupid with Vic wheeling it through 4th ... I can only assume this to be the same ...

Hope you got an NLR hahaha , sure you do

Great work

Bike is 68'' there . I have one of NLR's AMS1000 boost controllers . Seb at NLR is a pretty cool guy . I bought the oil tank and my Motec connectors from him also . Last I ran the bike was with my old 28R turbo and full street trim @62'' . Best for me was 8.63 @ 160 . It was only making 230hp then . This should be a little more fun .... 160 in the 1/8 should be closer

Sweet! Did you have to make a new intake plenum over the ITB's? More pics of that please...

wow your bike is simply amazazing, love the fab work there, I do have to say it is a bit unusual to see the wastegate placed off of the turbine housing

I want see more of this project, I was going turbo my 05 636 but I blew the engine. You running stock internals? I would be scared with high compression and turbo. Screw it, add some nitrous!

Motor has JE turbo pistons , Crower rods , bigger head bolts , dry sump oiling , 1000cc injectors , weldon fuel pump , Motec M400 ECU . I ran my old set up on stock internals but good rods all year with zero problems . 15psi on pump gas and made 240 hp . A good tune up makes a ton of difference . On the bikes space is so limited sometimes there are compromises to have things fit . Last one was same way with the wastegate placement and worked out great . Plenum is a very cool piece made by RCC Turbos . Billet with a oring seal between the halves and has the air / water core underneath the front . They have been working out very well , lots of hayabusa's making 600hp + on these plenums .

What filler rod do you use when welding the wastegate flange tube on to the turbine housing? That would be very nice for a limited area application like you have on a bike. Great Work!!! I'd love to build a turbo bike.

The head pieces are machined with a ridge so the flange holds them in place .
