jdm zc itm missing sensor mount
Ok,the title sounds weird i know.On the jdm sohc zc intake manifold there is no where to bolt up this sensor that is on the back of the usdm d16a6.On the d16 manifold there are to bolt holes tapped into the intake for this sensor to mount,"on the sensor" there is a vacuum line it appears to me.Now on the jdm zc manifold it has a single hole tapped "prolly for a wire holder"and a vacuum line plumbed into the intake and a boss where the other hole should be.Should i just plug in the vac-line an not plug in this sensor?Should i cut the vac-line off,tap a new hole and mount the sensor?Or should i use my usdm manifold. The less work the better. But both engines are on the floor.Any advice is much help, thanks all.
Yea,but i just fitted everything to the jdm.I know what will work the best,im just complaining.I wish i new if the car will run with out it.Im not going to install it and see if it runs weird. If it does ill commit to the labor then.
what year is your car cause i think 88's came with some control valve on the back of the manifold that had to do with the cold idle but i am not sure. I have a sohc zc in my '90 hatch and it went in without any problems and i didnt have that thing either. If you havent had a sohc zc before trust me you will like it. Mine is stock except for the dc header and 2 1/4" catback with a dx tranny and it pulls way harder than the d15b2 did even with mpfi. These motors are amazing for 120hp and 100ft/lbs of torque. Plus i even managed to pull of 55 mpg one time with my set up all freeway
I average about 30mpg though in the city.

the 89-91 Si had a Fast Idle Control Valve on the back of the intake manifold - the ZC doesn't have the FICV - just leave the connector unplugged and cap off the vacuum port on the ZC manifold

I just put the usdm maniflod on the zc block. It was a little more work but everything fits now.Its a 90.Pics are not in the manual i downloaded, its a book for the zc,so there manifold in the manual doesn't show it.Yea this is my first zc ,but i like it so far and all i got is a cold air, clutch, and a 8lb. flywheel. It revs fast.I got to advance the timing an replace the fuel filter "had 8 mo. old gas in it".But it feels very nice.
