Quartz Silver 1987 Integra LS

Hey everybody. I'm new to H-T, but not to Hondas. I've really enjoyed looking at the cars on this forum, especially the Motul replica and the S-car in PA. I've had my '97 GS-R for almost 3 years, and my '87 LS for 3 months. My GS-R was once cherry, as was my driving record, but those changed. I knew it was rebuild or regret
. I wanted something fun but not fast, and it came down to...

I bought it in August from a middle-aged tech business owner. He traded his computer skills to mechanics, and I have been working on it almost weekly in class so this car is definitely being treated right. I look forward to learning more about cars and pursuing my ASE certification. I'm thankful as the average Indian family would not support their daughter aspiring to do so. Happy Thanksgiving!

So that's my '87. Here's to my car and I both turning 21 next year!

I'm restoring the new one, and maintaining the old one?! Life's funny sometimes...

I'm doing leakdown and compression testing this morning in lab. What a way to end an awesome semester where I got to work in a warm garage with all the tools I could want and, often times, free supplies. I've never done work to my cars before this year short of changing a fuse, so I enjoy everything I do. I'm excited to see how the D16 fares, as I'd like to keep this car around through college.
I bought the LS with 171k. 164 of those were put on by the middle-aged man I bought it from so it's had a gentle life. It's almost at 175 but we all know how reliable Hondas are so I'm looking forward to keeping this one well-maintained and am happy to be finally learning so I can start the **** maintenance on my '97 GS-R (101k miles) so I can hopefully have another happy historic in 2017.
