The only tools that are necessary is a screwdriver to tighten the clamps around the throttlebody/pipe coupler. A nutdriver works better IMO.
An intake replaces your stock air box piping, and connects to your throttle body. There's nothing extensive about it.
Like from this:

To this:

The stock air box is the black thing, notice it's been replaced with the metal piping with the cone filter.
It's more of how easy it is to get off to do other work (such as changing the thermostat) and a bling factor, it doesn't really give you any power.
On a Cobalt SS an AEM V2 (one of AEM's best intakes) dyno tuned made a 12whp gain. That's a forced induction car, on an all motor 4 cylinder engine expect a 3rd of that gain, so that'd be 4hp at the wheels - if it was dyno tuned, you're not gonna get it dyno tuned, so you're looking at a 1-2whp increase. It's just there because it's easy to remove to do other stuff, it looks nice, it kills the resonator so it sounds nice, so on and so forth.

Oh, using an FI one I don't think it's possible.
****, drop a Z6 in there, it costs all of 2-300 bucks. Or at least a B7.

no. not in a 92 civic, it's not. Carbeurated civics were pre 87, I think. I know that anything 88 or later is F.I. I believe that's world wide.

Yeah, because we all know it's impossible to swap a pre-92 motor into a '92+ civic
. What? My friend had to temporarily run a carbed D13 in his 5th gen hatch when his LS/VTEC took a ****? What? It worked fine until he got another block? Yeah, I know.

Possibly, though I doubt it. Thanks for the heads up though.
