Default VAFC hack

Im goint to be doing a LOW budget/junkyard turbo build on my accord. Im going to be using the FMU/VAFC hack on a ODB1 F23/H23 DOHC NON-Vtec motor. Im wondering if an apexi vafc v1 fuel adjustment functions would work properly with out being connected to any vtec sources.

Any help is appreciated

Eric
