hey guys i tried searching and could not find out if the tps is the same on dpfi and mpfi.
i have a d15b2 in my 91 lx sedan and the tps needs to be calibrated. if it is broke i have a b16 tps sitting in my garage and i'm wondering if i can use it. i know the wires need to be switched, but is the sensor the same?
thanks honda tech

Correct.
The two are exact opposites
and not interchangeable..
here is a side by side comparison:

exactly... I found this out last week because the TPS on this D16A6 I bought was crushed on it's way to me, and silly Kalm I thought I could just use the old D15B2's, come to find out they twist opposite directions of eachother

the correct answer is no. not yes
YOU CANNOT USE A MPFI TPS ON A DPFI MOTOR.

you know what, i did not read the question correctly. i thought he had an mpfi conversion. i read d16a6 and saw the throttle body so i figured he had mpfi. so to answer his question i dont believe you can use the mpfi on dpfi, even by swithing the wires.

Like I said, you can't because they rotate opposite ways from eachother. If you try to put the DPFI sensor on an MPFI throttle you won't be able to open the throttle.
