Is it "possible" to build a D turbo that can beat a stock Z06?
Sure.
Likely? Will it last very long? Too many variables. I mean there are 10 second turbo d drag cars, so sure it CAN be done, but the question is can YOU do it?

U could be right but u would have to build that motor up and what kind of car would it be in i would also get a upgraded clutch and flywheel new tires, axles a ton of stuff I have a Boosted Integra Gsr With tons of mod upgrades fully build motor port and polish, its bored, Stroked, Stage 3, 4 Puck unsprung Clutch, 8 pound Flywheel, Stage 3 Axles, Drag Radials Its not cheap but its better in the end Ive raced 5 Zo6's 3 on the highway 2 on the street and Ive only lost one cause he was super charged with 8 pounds of boost but im sure if u get a D built good enough u could beat a Zo6

Let me clarify something here as to not look like an ignorant Honda fanboy:
The Z06 is fast. The Z06 handles amazingly well. The Z06 is an amazing performer bone stock off the showroom floor.
It would take a pretty mighty build to take the whp needed to outrun a Vette consistently on the street, but the issue you'd come acorss from a dead stop on street tires would be traction. You Dad will have it - you won't.
This is a pretty silly topic honestly. The only answer is "it's possible" but from there it would be 1000 different ways it can be done, by how much, how long it would last, etc. etc.
I just don't want to be misunderstoood by anyone to think that I think a Z06 isn't a very nice car to begin with, because it is.

Uhh, that has the LS1 based motor in it...he'll pull 5-10 mpg better than him on the highway if his Honda's running clean and getting 30-35mpg. LS1 based motors see 25-27 on the highway.

That's basically what it comes to.
If you boost the D and run it on stock ints a win won't happen.
If you boost the crap out of it with forged internals, spend 6 grand on it, etc. etc. - yeah, you can make enough power to beat him...though still due to your HP vs Drive (FWD) - your car will be overpowered so you won't be able to turn worth of crap in a road course without oversteering out and your pops will have a ****-ton more traction than you off the line.

Chipped computer?
Doesn't have to be built to spank a vette?
Are you kidding me? There's no way he's putting that vette away on stock internals, and a chipped computer will be the least of his efforts - it will need a hardcore tune, not just a skunk2 chip off ebay like you make it sound.

Nothing like comparing apples to oranges, eh? He has a stock D16, you have over 10 grand in engine which is 4 sleeves & pistons being shy of being fully built. Though seeing as it's stroked I'ma say you put new pistons on the rods, and I'm also gonna guess that you do have those sleeves - so fully built turbo GSR.
Fully built turbo GSR vs. D16.
Hrm...
Yeah, I think I'm seeing it. The difference, I mean. I think it's becoming clear now.
Back @ OP:
Yeah you can take him, no it won't be on stock internals. You won't drop 2000 on a turbo D budget build and can him, that's for sure.

Yeah man, it's the only V8 I know of that kicks *** in fuel mileage.
My 509 sure as hell didn't, massive 2-5mpg on that bad-boy.
Though as the LS1 is god's gift to humans, it naturally gets pretty damn good gas mileage

I am not looking to do this I am getting a gsr swap done in my car soon, but my dad always make fun of me for working on my Honda He said it will never happen, no dont get me wrong I love the Z06 and I love my Honda but I keep telling my dad That I am right and he just LOL in my face so I was just trying to prove that a Honda SOHC motor could beat this car if u build it right for a hell of a lot less than he paid for his car

Yeah, you drop a good solid 4-7 grand on your motor (you want reliability too) you can easily dialate his ***. On a 2k budget build on stock ints it won't happen though.
