Default Valve train recommendations for boosted b16a on stock block?

I am about to get a turbo kit from FR, stage 2 with AC, GT3037 bb turbo, ect...
Anyways, I was going to wait and build my head later on, but after changing my mind 10 times in the past 2 months, I think I am going to get the head work done first.

Just wondering what some of you guys are running and what is making the best numbers.

Engine management is s300. Car already has skunk2 pro series mani and tb, and fidanza cam gears.

After tune, it made 160.3whp as is.

Thanks..

I would say go ahead and build the turbo system. You really dont need to do any work to the head. You already have a head start with the mani and tb. Granted that money spent in the head will greatly imporve power especially with a turbo. You might get 30 hp na but with a turbo it will at least double probably more.

Well I'm not looking to go cheap, as money is not an issue. I want to get the most hp I can get from this motor while it lasts. Once it goes, a much stronger bottom end will be built to go with parts I already have, so the head is going to get work either way. Might as well do it now and see what I can get from the stock bottom end.

Send it out to portflow and get a full workup. P&P, valve job, valves, dual springs, titanium retainers, etc. Cant go wrong sending it them, they do great work.

IMO reconsider almost everything you're doing....

Stock block isnt capable of making much over 300whp reliably...why would you get a turbo that is completely overkill for your goals?? You could get something like a 57trim or GT3251b and save yourself at least $500. I love FullRace quality, but it is expensive. Personally, i would look at the Peakboost or SLS kits.

If you revised some of your purchases, you'd have enough money to build the bottom end and make a lot more power....

If you have the money, build the bottom end and get the GT3037r...i just wouldnt waste my time with it on a stock block....

I understand your thoughts. My main reason now is to see what I can get out of the stock block. I know there's a guy on here who broke 10's on the stock block and he drives it daily. I also know it's kind of freakish, but i'm interested in trying. I have a good tuner. keke..

But, yeah...the ultimate reason for going with that kit is because i plan on building a beefy bottom later on with a different block altogether and don't see the point in buying multiple turbo's.

No offense, but all I am asking for is suggestions on the valve train. Not what you would do if you were me.
