Default pct wrist pins/ls eagle rods

I am building a ls/v-tec setup Eagle crank/rods with ctR slugs just need to know one thing. My machineshop told me that the ctR pistons have snap rings on either side to hold wrist pin in place,Where as the rod requires the wristpins to be pressed in.Is this true? I was looken at my itR piston/rod and there is no snap ring to hold the wrist pin in the piston. It looks like the wrist pin is pressed into the rod. Has anybody encountered this issue or is my machineshop crazy.

It's the other way around. The Eagle rods are floating pin and the ctr pistons are designed for press pin. It's still a problem.

have the piston notched for c clips and use a floating pin or buy aftermarket pistons. I've herd you can press in a different bushing in the rod to make it a press fit style but I'm not sure on that one

or just buy a set of je, cp, srp, pistons which are 10x better than the ctr pistons anyway. the ctr pistons suck. no offence but they have a huge dome, poor flame travel and the valve reliefs are not deep enough. just get a set of aftermarket pistons. not oem.
