My g/f has an 85 civic 1.5 12v carb.
When cold, it's a pain to start (unless the block heater had been plugged in). then it idles at like 3-4k until it warms up a bit, then it dies unless you give it throttle. It will die at stop signs unless you hold partial throttle, but once it's hot it sometimes can hold an idle.
mechanic supposedly rebuilt or replaced the carb, and that didn't fix it.
any ideas?

i think she needs to take it to a different mechanic.
