SOHC Axles, anyone experience breakage??

Does anyone have any idea how much power SOHC axles can hold? I've been told 250, but I'm trying to get some other peoples opnions. Thanks for the replies.

dont know for sure but i've heard the older d series engines (old integras?) had stronger axles. like b series but a d.
