Hey guys, about two months ago I just got a brand new paintjob done to my hatch. I want to put away the car for the winter soon but I don't have a garage or a car port to put it away in, so I figure a nice car cover would be my best bet. I'm sure people in here are using them, does anyone suggest a certain car cover? Suggest against a certain car cover? Where to look for them, how much did you pay, etc etc.
Any help mucho appreciated.

I would not suggest putting a car cover on your car. I had one on my car for a month or so and it ended up trashing the paint on my roof and pillars. I even buffed the roof with swirl remover and you can still see the imprint of the fabric from the car cover.
All I can say is don't go cheap if you decide to buy one. You need to spend at least $300 on one with microfiber cloth on the inside or it will cause some damage. I bought a $100 car cover from Wal Mart and that was a big mistake. I even dusted the whole car off everytime I put it on too.
Also all of the cheap car covers are not water proof or even water resistant. I'm sure if you put it on your car in the winter the snow and ice will penetrate the cover and be just as bad as having no cover.

You probably had a cheap "auto zone" car cover. You get what you pay for. OP if you're looking for real nice cover at "reasonable" prices then go here: http://www.calcarcover.com They are car specific, fit like a glove, and have some that are padded microfiber on the inside so it won't scratch. Mine is the "outdoor" one can't remember the specific name. Before I had a garage I used this for 3 winters and year round and never had a problem.

I guess you didn't read my post. I said I had a $100 cover from Wal-Mart AKA a peice of junk. I went to that site, looks like the superweave one is what the OP is looking for. Pretty nice stuff for the price it appears.

I have a custom-fitted NOAH car cover by Wolf. I absolutely love it
.
From my research, godashmat.com has the best prices for custom-fitted car covers. That's where I bought mine.
