Default Installing the Thermal Axel back

I put the thermal axel back on tonight but foung that there is nearly an inch gap between the two pipe. Do I need to get a flange to get it to sit flesh or is it just the wrong fit. It rattles like crazy and its definately leaking air. Someone please help! Thanks

Well, I think the first thing to do obviously, is to make absolutely sure that you got the right part. Make sure that you have the exhaust hanging on the rubber hangers correctly. I doubt that you're going to need their B pipe. If they're selling this as an axle back, it would be kind of F'd up if you needed their B pipe in addition. Because if you buy the B pipe, then you just bought a cat back system from them. The B pipe is the pipe that connects the catalytic converter to the muffler piping.
