96 CX hatch thinking of selling make an offer...
Alright so I may be selling my hatch I am not entirely sure but it has too many problems for me to deal with right now...
No I dont have a set price range shoot an offer if your actually interested
1996 Honda Civic CX hatchback
186,000 miles on shell
85,000 miles on motor
Original motor snapped a rod and punched a hole through the block no I dont have it..
Motor swap is a D16Y8 from a 2000 EX.
Nothing has been reported to the insurance company about the motor blowing due to me only being covered by liability. Therefore if you are curious the Title is clean no salvage or anything
I was in one accident due to my GF she was learning how to drive stick and bumped into a gaurd rail at about 8 mph. Damage was cosmetic to the passenger side and has been replaced with new parts since then as you can see in the pictures. <U>Frame was checked</U>
As far as I know now here is what is wrong.
1) Backup lights dont go on ~ Problem is because of harness
2) Speedometer and odometer dont work ~ Has been checked not the VSS ~ Problem is because of the harness
3) Alternator is shot ~ Just no good car relys off the battery to run
4) Bondo ~ I will be sanding it down friday wether I sell or not
5) Exhaust leaks and isnt worth its weight in **** ~ Ghetto fix for the guy who had it previously for inspection ~ See pics for further explanation
6) Back windshield shattered ~ Some asshat thought it was funny if I find out who it is I will concrete his car to the ground.
7) Motor is setup for a 2000 so parts that changed from the 96-98 need to be "downgraded" for the proper harness.
8) As of right now the ODB system will not link up with the ECU so it cant tell you anything ~ Again this is another harness problem
9) Needs a cat ~ I couldnt use my previous cat because my dad threw it out thinking it was trash
10) 3rd gear grinds ~ This is very wierd it will grind in the lower RPM's but not often but if you draw out second past like 3500 RPM it will grind going into third unless you let the motor slow to idle first.
11) Needs a new intake system because the it doesnt look to appealing right now
12) No carpet ~ The car was leaking up front somewhere near the firewall when I first bought it and made the carpet horrible smelling so it was pulled.
13) Water has been getting in the trunk area from no windshield as well so the speakers back there may now be shot I will check later on
14) Rear driverside hub needs to be replaced I took it apart and looked at it the ball bearings have pits in them from rust so it groans when you drive down the road.
15) Needs an alignment bad...
Thats all I know about now if anything else comes up I will let you all know

Dizzy is for the 2000 EX ~ I have the original from the CX known to be good you want it let me know
I have the original Y7 head nothing wrong with it if you want it let me know.
I also have the Y7 trans but its been exposed to the element so im not sure for condition if you feel so inclined to have it let me know lol
Car does not/Never did have power steering...
It did have AC but it was pulled out when swapping motor and never placed back in I dont use AC. I am missing the dryer for the system but all other parts will come with the car...

This is a pic of the axle-back going to the exhaust piping it consists of an exhaust clap and High temp silicone
This is a pic of where my cat should be but i didnt have it so for the time being I used another clamp as a temp fix after the swap because the exhaust piping was one piece all the way back to the muffler welded
the piping hangers broke so the guy before me used this this to keep it from dragging on th road...
I want it gone 1400 takes it right now with everything I have tghats useable First come first serve

we went to honda yesterday and looked at it.
15K it is not worth
me and rich sat in the 08 s2k and the keys were jsut sitting in the center console thing. The guy even offered to open the doors so we could get some of the cars outta the way

His 07 SI was there a few days ago I know it was his too because of one distinct reason but it was getting new tires put on or something...
Will be sold tommorow if no more offers come to me before then....
