Default need help car wont start

My car just died the other day. I can’t figure out what is wrong with it. I have already changed the starter. Here’s a list of things I checked already- Battery and Alternator is like 5 months old. Fuses are good.

The car won’t crank and there’s no clicking from the starter. When I start up my car I have an Anti Theft device that need to chirp before you could start up the car. So when I turn the key the car just won’t turn over and no clicking. What could it be?

Please help me out because Im out of ideas and don’t really want it tow to a shop. If someone could help me please make a check list for me.

The motor is an lsvtec. The only thing im worry about is that I just change the tranny to a 97 GSR tranny and I went in bought a 95 LS starter today. I still can’t believe I forgot that I switch tranny and bought a LS starter. Would it make a difference?

Overall I’m guess it’s the dizzy now. Again Battery, alternator are just recently changed. The starter, spark plugs are new. Fuses are good. What could it be? Help Help Help.

if your not cranking its defiantly not the distributor. Id probably say its the alarm cutting of the ignition switch. you can test this by taking the small wire that comes off the starter and run it to the positive terminal on the battery. if you get nothing then either the starter or the battery is dead seeing as you said you got those tested i think you are not getting contact between the ignition switch and your starter.
Dunno if that makes sense just trying to help ya out.

Do you hear your fuel prime at all? Might want to check your main relay.

it shouldnt matter on what starter you have

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by B16B_coupe &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">b series starter is a b series starter. same thing

</TD></TR></TABLE>

i would run direct connect to the starter from the battery and see if it cranks, and like previously stated, get rid of the anti-theft for now. did you get a warranty on the starter? can you push start the car?

There's probably some sort of immobilizer function wire on your alarm that came loose. Personally, that would have been the first thing I checked, but whatever. Not my time, not my money.

sounds like the aftermarket alarm system thats installed. I would check up under the dash and bypass it. Pull the lower dash cover off and access the ingnition switch. See if any wires are tied into it mainly the ones that don't belong there. You will probably need to replace the ingnition wire eventually if this is the problem. You could always just cut and splice the connectors back.

If it were my car I would just pull the aftermarket alarm system off completly.

no its not a alarm. when i first purchase the car from a old guy he have already install the anti theift system from the honda dealer. there's so button or switch. its just the way you start up the car. you turn the key on then foot on the clutch and then wait until it chirp then you can start up. if you just put the key in and turn it right away like every other car it wont start.

anyways thanks everyone for you help. im still trying to figure out what it is.
im just glad it died at the house. it would be worst if it died somewhere else.

ok i got my car to start. i took off the anti thieft device. then i cut the red, pink, blue, and purple wire. then i wire up the blue and purple together and it fire up.
as for the red and pink i just left it tape alone by itself.

will i run into any problems later with the red and pink wires?

overall the car is back up and running like normal i hope. everythings seem fine but what a waste of money for a anti thieft device.

my friend end up taking is alarm system too because he had it install for 7 days and his car started acting up on him so he took it off and everything back to normal.

so whats the deal. is it the alarm system or the installer?
