Tein vs Eibach vs Skunk2
Ok guys, I have some questions about springs. Im gonna drive on stock struts for a little while (like until summer) but for now I want springs. I'm looking at the Tein S-techs, Eibach sportlines or Skunk2 springs. Does anyone have pictures of a before and after shot of each of these setups on stock struts? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone
Sorry, no pics. I'm just dropping by to say you ought to just hold off until summertime, when you can go with struts as well as springs. You'll be wasting unneeded time and effort to doing this when you're just going to be doing it again in the summer. But anyway, sorry I don't have any pics for you, so BUMP.

Yeah skunk2 ftw

so the skunk2's are the best because they are the stiffest? lol, those springs are horrible if you plan on riding on stock struts. We had a set on a friends eg, and the adjutable pirch was cheap, the springs felt cheap everything felt cheap. Skunk2's suspension has always been cheap.
If you are going to only get springs get some s-techs, they will offer the best ride, good stance, and good quality. I'd only go with the Eibachs if you also upgraded your struts to something like Agx's, or a better strut.

I had the Skunk2's on my GF's V6 Accord w/ stock struts and it rode like ***. I took them off about a week later. I had Neuspeed race springs on my EG w/ stock struts and it rode better than my Omni's on my Accord. Very happy with the Neuspeed's

yup, I have never rode on or head of anyone having a positive experience with anything Skunk2 (suspension related) You should really look into at least installing new struts to go along with your springs, they would really help with the handling and longevity of your sturts.
If you want comfort, Tein is for you, they can also be used with stock shocks.
The Sportlines give about the same drop and are a little stiffer.
The Skunks are pretty stiff and lower about 1/2 an inch more than the other 2.

All the Skunks do is ride on the bumpstops. The stock sturts can't go that low. I put Skunk2's suspension quality in the same level as the generic ebay coilovers and such. Thats how much of a bad experience I've had with skunk2's.

your just not use to the stiff spring rates bro, should of researched first before you bought sk2 coilovers. When noobs want slip over coilovers and can't afford new $300 GC's they turn to the sk2 coilovers. They figure sk2's setup is cheaper and there rep. is great so why not try them? It usually ends up with a noob complaing about ride quality etc...etc...
im running the sk2 coilovers 10k/8k and i think thats just perfect for DD.

bahaha, lol, your referring to me as a noob. Please; I've rode on everything from Buddy Club Racing Dampeners, to Tein Super streets to Jic's Flta2's on the stiffest setting. Go ahead and drive on your second rate suspension and keep thinking that your "stiff" spring rates actually produce positve handling.
