So my front windshield is leaking right under the driver wiper. It not a large leak (2-4 inches wide) but it is a leak that allows all the windows to fog up and I cannot get them to unfog no matter how hard I try.

All the windows will fog up just when the car is sitting. I can just sit there and watch as the air is coming through the windshield.

What can I do to get rid of this leak? I was thinking of taking off the plastic cover and putting some kinda sealant over the spot. Would this solve it?

I really need to fix this ASAP as it is getting cold out and it is fogging up more frequently now. This is really affecting my visibility.

 

Whether or not sealant would work depends on exactly where & what shape is the opening. We can't tell, you'll have to take the covers off & look & judge for yourself.

If the windshield itself is cracked, check with your insurance about a replacement. It might be 'free'.
