Timing Belt Tensioner Pulley Bolt issues
Just recently I noticed my timing belt was walking right off it's gears, unfortunately I noticed it after it was 1/3 devoured and had skipped a tooth
. Anyway, after removing the plastic timing covers and all I found the bolt that the timing belt tensioner pulley pivots on was broken off flush w/ the oil pump cover
.
So far I've removed the engine (It's about time to reseal it anyway) but I can't even punch a centerhole in the remains of the bolt to start drilling it outta there, do any Honda techs out there have any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply, actually the punch I used was pretty cheezy, and the bit I tried to begin drilling with wouldn't scratch the surface. So maybe I should re-post after some worthwhile tools are sourced, lol.
But I guess what I'm really looking for before I spend too much time trying to extract this bolt (because they're installed w/ a loctite type compound from factory) is confirmation that extracting it is worthwhile.
Iwould be a blessing and a curse to hear that I should replace the whole pump cover, but at the same time extracting guffed-up and loc-tite'ed bolts isn't so pleasant either, so really anyone w/ prior experience on this particular issue please post. Otherwise I'll just get a punch and drill bit that aren't as old as me.

Yeah I had to punch and drill a crank bolt just recently and it came out with no problems, although the crank bolt is a little bigger and easier to grab. That's what I would try.
Just got it out, found a decent punch and drill bit, ditched the cheepo's. Take care of your tools people, they'll take care of you
