probably but it looks like the lug studs are actually on that car and no sort of additional support. i know that steel black outer shell is holding some of the weight but i always thought lexan couldnt support THAT much weight
guess i was wrong

just another reason why show cars annoy the $#!t out of me! I liked it when the show cars actualy drove on the street...or atleast had the intention of acutaly working.
you go to some car shows and they have all kinds of turbo **** bolted on but no oil feeds or returns, no boost controllers, no signs of engine management or fmu's. I only go ooooooh and aaaaaah if the car works.

The D'Vinci Forgiato Radurra wheels are made from polycarbonate and are totally transparent where one would expect to see spokes. The wheel on display featured 1.5-inch think polycarbonate, while the set installed on the Mercedes-Benz CLS had 2-inch thick polycarobonate. Each wheel costs $2,000.

Yes. They are streetable, although I doubt you'd ever find a set on the road. The instant you moved them on asphalt, they'd get tons of scratches and whatnot. Show wheels only, and thank god. What a f-ing stupid idea.

na...thats what shows are all about, exclusiveness and pricieness......i dont think thats a word lol
but yeah....not too many cars run those, and they do a great job of showing off the awesome brakes and possible suspension goodies that car has. sooo
for a show car app.

I remember seeing that star trek movie as a kid where they moved that whale... "you just invented transparent tin, Scotty!!"
You'd make an ***-load when they mandated all freight containers be made from the ****!

Transparent aluminum exists. Aluminum Oxynitride. Has to be made in a plasma furnace and costs like $20/square inch. Don't think you are going to see any wheels made from that anytime soon.
Na uh

well it is no longer D'Vinci Forgiato it is just Forgiato (I used to do buisness with both of them) they are more expensive than $2000 A wheel for the set! you are looking at over $15'000 for the set
and YES you can drive on them! I have seen them driven on
