Cannot remove rear brake drums from my 86 accord lxi.
Put new pads on the front and was going to do the rear but the drums will not come off.The drums will move a little and the wheel studs move in the holes i guess the brakes are stuck in the groove.Any ideas on how to remove without tearing everything up.Thanks.

on the backside of the backing plate, you should find a slot at the top.
stick a screwdriver in there, and run that little wheel down (i think it's down).
that should loosen the adjuster, and back the shoes out of the drums
(either that, or it will tighten the adjuster, and cram the shoes into the drums, making them impossible to turn) if that's what happens, run the little wheel up instead.

There is no slot for a screw driver. The backplate is solid with only a spot for the brake cylinder.I have a 89 accord parts car and they both are the same setup.I have tried breaking the hard line to see if releasing pressure would help, did not help.Thanks.

look again, just below the mounts for the cylinder, there should be a narrow horizontal slot.
you might have to knock it out, like a electrical box.
