Default 5th Gen Base vs. Type SH Radiator

Hey all,

i was hoping someone could confirm my answer but is there a difference between a base radiator and a type sh radiator? i've heard no because in the type sh the atts oil cooling lines come into play.

next question would be can a base radiator be modified to fit for the the type sh.

thanks.

A base radiator drops right into an SH, but you'll need to use an external stand alone cooler for the ATTS unit.

yes its the same radiator. if you have a type-sh the lines will be there to hook them up to the radiator, if you have a base you just plug them up. its similar to an automatic car. you connect the type-sh lines to the same place you would connect the lines for an automatic tranny. except in the type-sh the lines are cooling the ATTS instead of the auto tranny. i just installed a new radiator on my SH and had this cleared up.
