car struggles to start up after putting gas
Ive got kind of the opposite problem...when i get lower than about an eigth of a tank of gas....my car stuggles to turn over...and gets harder to start when less gas is in it...always just dealt with it and was curious as to what it was...
Check your fuel filter, it might be clogged, and are you getting gas from the same gas station?
Ricey Mcricerton, the reason you're having a hard time starting your car cause you are running it till near empty

When it gets low like that turn your key to the ACC position for about 5 seconds to allow the fuel pump to get some fuel back in the lines, then start the car.
Your problem is identical to mine. I have done a little reseacher and found its probably a defunct "main relay". When I fill it or get below 1/8th it will start and turn over for about 2 secs before the rpms drop quikcly and it stalls. When you turn your key to "on" listen for a click after the engine light goes out. If you don't hear a click your car probably wount start. Try taking off the gas cap to relieve pressure. Give it a min and try again. Its not a HUGH hassel but it is annoying and when I get the time and money ( I hear its $50ish from dealer ) I will replace it.
P.S. I did get the information from H-T so do a search on " Main relay " Previous posts will verify my information. (hopefully)
