Someone please give me accurate numbers!
Ok, i have asked this question on a few sites before, but what can a stock 88-91 crx Si run in the 1/4??? i have been told 15.9 with a good driver, and also i have been told high 16's. I want to know because i am going to buy one, thanks.
when my 89 crx si was stock i went 16.3 but it varies dude. go to the track and watch the stock civic si's some will run 16.3 or others run low 15's so it really varies per car for some reason. But you cant keep your honda stock , not with all the performance upgrades avail??come on .
oh hell no, i aint stayin stock, i plan to add aem CAI, 11:1 pistons, and exhaust. Oh and a few mugen stickers will give me about 10 hp a piece right??
the 1st gen mugen stickers are 9.5hp and the 2nd generation are about 11-12 hp. although the mugen wing is 10000.
and yeah, it all really depends on the driver, the track, maybe even weather, but most stock si's will run 16's, some lower some higher

I have an 89' and I ran a 16.11 with exhaust, cheapo header and stripped interior. I think I could have done better with a couple more runs, probably like a 15.9. This dude I raced had an 89' as well, it was stripped, no passenger seat, head I/H/E, etc and it ran 15.5... not too shabby.
ok, i want to put on a new exhaust, but i don't know what to get....Are all aftermarket exhausts sideways like the stock exhaust????

Years ago, before I started swapping B16's into EF's. I had an 88 CRX SI ( for a winter car when my Prelude was stored ) that ONLY had STROMUNG cat-back exhaust, and a K+N drop in replacement stock filterr. I ran a best of 15.3 one time at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI. During a test and tune day....I ran a total of 23 back to back runs pulling consistant 15.6's, 15.7's. I just ran stock tires on stock rims.
I remember awhile back posting my times of my stock D16a6 motor'd REX pulling those times on some CRX board. People were surprised, some didnt believe me.
I also pulled 14.3 on slicks with one of the B16 CRX's I built. It was a 89 CRX SI with 1st gen B16, S1 cable tranny, and cheap, no name Cold Air Intake. Thats it. Still stock cams, stock header, stock exhaust. That CRX sold soon after I brought it to the track.
I know theres alot of BS out there (especially on the Internet ). But if you ever come to Minnesota or Wisconsin, ask the locals that have seen my cars run. I also have videotape footage and timeslips for those who dont believe me.
Many people bring their camcorders to the track, so Im sure someone, somewhere also has footage at the track. That's how the new owner of that B16 REX contacted me.
