Is it possible for the alternator to fail without causing battery light to come on?
I was driving along the other day and noticed the dash lights were dimmer and the heater blower was slower and whenever i signaled the tach would jump... and then eventually it got so bad the tach and speedo stopped working. So it seemed like the whole car wasnt getting enough current.
At this point, my car must've been running on the battery but hadn't died yet. THen all of a sudden it fixed itself, like a spaceship regaining main power
But still, no battery light coming on...? Even though all signs lead to the alternator?
