They're all S20, there's no way to tell the trans based on the numbers. You'll have to go a certain speed and check your RPM, then use a gear ratio chart to see what kind it is.
That's about all you can do while it's still in the car.
Check the RPM at like 3 different speeds, in a few different gears. If it doesn't match up with any of them then it's a different final drive or different ratios.

Go under the car and look around the transmission for a stamp thats labeled with either a000 or b000 I don't remember exactly were its located but I think its around the fill or drain plug. Its a circular shape stamped into the case.

They're all over the place.
What? Search? No!
God Forbid.

And that is the ONLY way you'll figure it out since the rest is just dates and what type of trans S20/S40 - which don't tell you dick about the internal gears.
In 5 minutes of driving you can get 3 or 4 different RPM / speed readings (different gears work best) and in 4 minutes you can go back to your computer and find out what kind of transmission you have.
Screw crawling under the car, and looking up the casting codes, and looking up the minimum wage illegal worker that casted the damn thing, and calling his ex-wife, so on and so forth. Just calculate it out, takes <10 minutes. This is pathetic. This type of topic shouldn't be this long since it was answered in the first response.
PS:
If you don't even wanna do the calculations just send that **** to me - I'll do it, jeez.
