lots of people see this as the end of our sport. while i wont say its the greatest thing that could happen it is a turning point. hopefully everyone can do thier part and well just see what comes of it.

amen to that. i guess it comes down to "heart." you doing this for the passion or you doing this for the fame? in '98 pomona was just as big as '08.

"if you can build it, then they will come."

I think we have to qualify that comment... the future of the sport isn't really in doubt, because whether or not there is a pro series, I know that I will always be racing a sport compact car of some sort... and most likely it will see the drag strip on several occasions...and I firmly believe that when the bergenholtz brother's are in their 60's and 70's they will still be racing a sport compact car as well. The sport will always exist as long as there are people who love it..it may change for some time, but it will never die. with all that being said, I think we are poised for it to be bigger than ever.

If everything works out it should be real big as far as marketing is concerned.

"Cross your fingers"

We should I hope see some really good formal press releases after thanksgiving that will be good for the industry.

Ron, did you have a chance to read my story? I hope you didn't take offense to the "(well maybe Ron isn't a kid anymore)" comment. But you seriously are the Big Daddy Don Garlits or Don Prudhomme of our sport... I'll never forget the day I walked into my local magazine shop and picked up the latest copy of Road and Track and saw you and Ed in an article comparing all different kinds of cars and their acceleration. I knew then, that the little cars I was into were serious... and mainstream journalists had taken notice. I hope you have that article hanging on your wall somewhere.

i may be very old as far as a number is concerned but the people that know me best know that i am one big kid for God's sake.

Gees, me and my kid were searching two different targets and one toys r us for star wars figures.

You gotta see my star wars collection. It is humongous!!!!!!!! I'll try to post pics1

Oh that cover photo of Road & Track is some funny stuff. Little does anyone know that the back of the CRX is cut off on that cover. Believe it or not if the rear of that photo was shown it would depict me and Vince holding the CRX back holding the wheely bars back for the photo against the VIPER. Hahhahahahah Vince can vouch for me on that photo.

If I am not mistaken you were in the TMZ magazine with your Star Wars collection in the back ground.
