They only can crush your car if you were caught street racing, or showing signs of street racing. This is not something they just came up with this has been around for years, but they are only now publicly showing the crushing to show kids that they are serious. If your driving around and they pull you over and pop your hood and you have a swap, they will give you a ticket for the ref, not tow your car and crush it. Only time theyll tow your car is if you have no registration, no lisence, or no insurance, only time theyll tow it and not give it back is if their is a VIN on the motor and it comes up stolen. This does not only imply for imports, domestics get the same treatment as imports. Bottom line, you drive like an idiot and put innocent peoples lives at risk they should crush your car since they can crush you.

But still this belongs in the GDD not really here.

I thought this had more to do with stolen parts than street racing.

Depends on the policeman, but you'll usually just get a nasty fine.
