Mine would overrev 1st gear, literally up to redline, then drop into 2nd and shoot me forward like a rocket.
It's a problem of lubrication, 2nd gear wears down and fries, manufacturer defect.
I got it replaced under an extended transmission warranty of 7 years 9 months or 109k miles.
The problem is they seem to have recognized only 00 and 01 cars as covered under the extended warranty. I'd take it to Honda and see what they can do as a goodwill sort of deal.
