B16a rebuild... advice/opinions please!
Well... I have a b16a and it has 130k on it. I am wanting to pull the motor here in a few months and do my first un assisted rebuild (no one there to help and guide me). I wan't to keep it simple and the results i'm looking for is just to fully resotre the motor as if it was brand new.
I have been tossing ideas around on what internals I could switch up, but my budget is tighter than I would like, so I don't have that much money to toss around. However, I thought about putting b16b pistons in with everything else stock, there for just raising my compression ratio. What do you guys think? I am really just looking to restore the motor to a brand new like condition as I have said before.
And does anyone know of any legitimate b16a rebuild writeups? I searched and couldn't find any good ones.

To keep it simple, pull the motor, take it apart and take the parts to a good machine shop, get a good 3 angle valve job, get the block cleaned and honed. Then go to Honda and buy new rings, bearings, gaskets, water pump, oil pump, timing belt, pretty much all the stuff for a rebuild, them go put it together. If you don't have one already, buy a good manual for the motor so you can get the specs, or you can just search the internet. If your budget isn't that much don't mess around with really changing anything, it always costs more than you think.

Thanks for the response. My budget is tight and I basically just want to rebuild the motor as if it was brand new again.
