My 99 Accord
I am on my second accord y first was a stock 98 4cyl... I decided to upgrade and bought a 99 6cyl. I want to race it out, but im not sure where to start... What exhaust systems are a good fit for my car and the same about intakes. Im just about to be 18 and my present to myself is gonna be a raced out accord, but i want it done right not all ghetto. so any suggestions or advise will be taken gracfully. thanks

if you want a "raced out accord" you should of stuck with the 4cyl. there isn't much aftermarket support for the v6. at least with the 4cyl you can do a H22 swap and boost it.

Agreed.
You can supercharge your V6 if you want?
Agreed.

Should of kept the 2.3L. the v6 is just going to give you tranny problems eventually. If you're that diehard to mod it, you can supercharge it. Intake , headers , exhaust, lowering etc...
with the money you would spend to try to make the v6 fast , you could make a 4cyl a lot faster and do suspension, paint, lip kit.
also a 4cyl 5spd is just as fast as the v6. the v6s only come in auto and they are notorious for going out. the only good thing about the v6 is it's 5 lug.
btw: i have a v6 and wish i would of gotten a 4cyl 5spd.

It means 98-02 Accords, particularly the 6 cylinders, have defective automatic transmissions. They don't get proper amounts of fluid in 2nd gear, and it just wears out and kills the transmission. There's an extended warranty for it but it only covers 00-01 cars, unless you can sweet talk your dealer into a good will.
I'm really surprised you didn't know that if you already owned a 6th gen and this is your 2nd.
It's a crapshoot, you might get a good one. But the bad ones will blow totally stock; a supercharger would just make it fail sooner and have the dealership deny your warranty.
The only real solution to GUARANTEE not having this problem is to swap the CL-S tranny like RedneckDave did.

Well that sucks, i wish i would have known this sooner i would have reconsidered. so would it be smarter to just sell it and by a 4cyl???? If so what years have the h22 in it? How much do you think i could get for my car it has 126k miles already and the paint has sun damage on the trunk and roof.... thats for all your help guys i really appriciate it.

you really should do more research
the h22 did not come stock in any USDM accord, every one you see with it has been swapped.
it's not really a cost effective swap for the v6 accords as the entire engine bay is opposite
kbb.com for your car's value
*edit*
I'm also not really sure what you mean by "raced out accord" if you're just going to be driving the damn thing from place to place (from the sounds of it this is you) a "raced out" accord with a cage, gutted interior , etc isn't a great idea

If you want the look and that is all then do the suspension, intake, headers, exhaust, and some nice wheels.
For suspension you can go with koni yellows and ground controls which is a very nice setup. Also switching to a different set of sway bars is a great upgrade. Even switching to the CL-S sways is much better.
For an intake, the Comptech Icebox is very nice if you can find one. The AEM and Injen and brands like that are all about the same so all you are really paying for is the name.
headers, there are a few choices. Comptech if you can find them are nice and by far the most expensive. OBX headers are not bad at all and most have pretty good fitment. There are also megan brand and stone racing headers which are also ok but by far not the best.
For exhaust, Tanabe is very nice, Apexii is very nice, Greddy is nice, Espelir is awesome, and then there are other brands but those are just a few to look at.
Wheels are a personal choice and I will not make suggestions other than this one. Wheels that are cheap to buy are often very cheap wheels. Now do you really want to trust your life on some cheap wheels?
And now onto the trans problems. If you change the trans fluid when it is needed, install a magnetic drain plug, and install a trans cooler you should be fine. I did not do those things and my auto died, but I installed those items on my friends accord and he still has not had any problems. Also swaps are available and if you are technically savy then you can do the swap yourself and save some money.
